Celebrate Pollinator Month

Each year the National Wildlife Federation takes Pollinator Week a step further by celebrating pollinators all month long in June! This makes it the perfect time to celebrate how your garden can support bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

About Pollinator Month

From hummingbirds to bees, gardens of any size can support and attract pollinators!

This year for Pollinator Month, we’re excited to highlight the incredible impact of pollinator gardens of all sizes! For individuals with small outdoor spaces like balconies or courtyards, pollinators are one of the most accessible wildlife to support and attract. Simply by planting native blooming species, you will likely find bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds visiting your plants!

Learn more about creating a small space wildlife garden and even using native plants in container gardens in our new resources.

Share your Garden Story!

We're looking for various stories that show off the many faces and styles of wildlife gardening and habitat restoration. If you have a wildlife garden, we want to hear about it! Some examples could include an individual gardener transforming their home's lawn into a native plant habitat that supports wildlife, an apartment-dweller with a balcony garden that features native plants, or even an entire community or school chipping in to create a wildlife garden. These stories have the potential to be shared as part of a blog, newsletter feature, social media post, or even on our website to inspire other gardeners!
